Tragedy struck Chicago s Archer Heights neighborhood early Saturday morning when a vehicle collision claimed the life of a 19-year-old man and injured another driver. According toCBS News Chicago, the crash occurred around 12:30 A.M. in the 4300 block of South Pulaski Road. A silver SUV traveling northbound collided with a southbound black sedan at the intersection.
The sedan s driver sustained severe injuries and was treated on-site by fire crews before being transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The SUV s driver, a 24-year-old man, suffered a broken arm and was treated at St. Anthony Hospital, where he was listed in fair condition, reported theChicago Sun-Times.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation by the Major Accidents unit. Authorities have not released the names of the individuals involved, and further details about the crash are pending.
