Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating Nelson Duran, a 34-year-old resident missing since October 28, 2024. Duran, who is known by the nickname Pooh, has not been seen for over three weeks, last spotted in the vicinity of the 6100 South block of Richmond St. According to theChicago Police Department’s notice, she is described as having a medium brown complexion, brown eyes, and gray/black hair.
Duran is a female with an intellectual disability and a diagnosed bipolar disorder and also takes medication for HIV/AIDS. It heightens concern for her well-being, as her condition necessitates a regiment of medications. She stands 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs approximately 289 pounds. The CPD’s Area 1 detectives are leading the search and have extended a request to the public to report any information that might aid in her safe return.
The Chicago Police Department has been actively sharing Duran’s information on social media and other platforms, hopeful that increased public awareness will lead to a breakthrough in the case.
