More than 100 people gathered last Saturday to honor the memory of Jerome Coleman Jr., the seven-year-old boy whose life was cut short in an alleged drunk driving incident in Detroit. Ahmad Jatta, a 30-year-old resident of Roseville, stands charged in connection with the crash. Jatta is accused of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, causing death and serious injury. Authorities have scheduled a probable cause hearing for next Monday, with a preliminary examination set for December 2, as per information from Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office cited byCBS News Detroit.
“He was always a safety guy,” Jerome Coleman Sr. recalled in an interview withFOX 2 Detroit.
