Frisco Drivers Alert: Roadwork Projects May Impact Commutes with Lane Closures and Detours

The city’s latest roadwork roundup is in, and it’s got a slew of projects that could add a few extra minutes to your daily drive. Posted by theCity of Friscoon their official website, the advisory details several roadway projects slated to potentially disrupt traffic, with estimated completion times hovering around the two-week mark, weather permitting.

For starters, drivers should be ready for the new pavement replacement project taking place southbound on Teel at Del Largo Way and for those who frequent Northbound Coit Rd. at Lyndhurst Dr., 12472 Jack Pine Ct., or Port Edwards Ln., prepare for the ongoing pavement replacement efforts to continue affecting your routes. It’s not just the roads getting a face-lift; major intersection improvements are also on the books, with work already underway and daily lane closures from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., hitting some of Frisco’s busiest cross streets.

Specifically, the intersection improvements are digging in at Coit Rd. / SH 121, with operations that began back on October 7th; while Ohio Dr. / Hillcrest Rd. got the crews rolling in September, and Stonebrook Pkwy. /FM 423 has had orange cones since May. With these sites, daily interruptions are a given, so mapping out a detour in advance might not be the worst idea.
