Earlier today, a couple became the victims of a robbery resulting in both individuals being shot in the stomach. The altercation took place in a parking lot behind a hair salon on Sunset Boulevard near Kirby Drive, in Rice Village. The couple, having been at the salon, were making their way to their parked vehicle when the incident unfolded.Click2Houstonreported that the events were captured on a surveillance camera, showing a white car following the victims before the suspect, masked and hooded, exited the vehicle and committed the act.

The suspect, having robbed the couple, proceeded to quickly shoot them both and flee the scene. The woman is reportedly in critical condition while her companion is in stable condition, according to the Houston Police Department. “From what it appears they were followed, and they were robbed at the rear side of the business and was shot in the stomach,” Lt. This event unfolded around 1 a.m., as per a statement obtained byKHOU 11 News, “Male suspect. We don’t know the race yet,” said HPD Lt. Gutierrez, who also noted the precise actions of the suspect.
