An early Sunday crash in Holland Township led to a power outage that affected the area after a vehicle struck a utility pole. At approximately 12:51 a.m., a 59-year-old man from Holland was driving on Butternut Drive near Hayes Street when his vehicle veered off the road, making contact with a power pole, causing it to break and electrical lines to fall onto the street.
The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office was quickly on the scene and, according to details gathered byWZZM13, the crash resulted in what officials were referring to as a ‘major power outage. With the road being blocked by authorities. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
