Orange County Utilities Claims Victory in Central Florida’s Best Tasting Drinking Water Contest

With a toast to quality and taste, Orange County Utilities has just snagged the title of Best Tasting Drinking Water in Central Florida. The win is a nod to their Vistana Water Supply Facility, located in the utility s southern service area, which poured the prize-winning sample that earned them top honors in the Regional Drinking Water Contest. Nine competitors vied for the title, but Orange County’s H2O emerged as the indisputable champion in the blind taste test evaluated on taste, odor, clarity, and color.

The contest, hosted by the Florida Section American Water Works Association (FSAWWA), threw challenges to utilities that stepped up their game to prove the superiority of their tap. According to anOrange County Governmentpress release, Mayor Jerry Demings celebrated the achievement, stating, “Our dedicated water professionals at Orange County Utilities strive daily to provide our community with clean water, and receiving the Best Tasting Water award reflects the exceptional quality of their efforts for our residents.”

“We re proud of the dedicated team and their ongoing commitment to producing quality drinking water quality so good you can taste it,” said Ed Torres, Director of Orange County Utilities, in a statement sourced from an announcement by the utility, as per thecounty’s news release. Displaying the award were five proud members of the team – Bridgett Tolley, Iulia Siemen, Christophe Robert, Paul Brown, and Brian Persons – who all share in the success of delivering top-notch water to their community.
