Now in its eighth year, the initiative urges shoppers to explore the county s more than 1,600 independently owned retail businesses. As an incentive, participants have the chance to win one of ten $150 gift cards provided by First State Bank, simply by shopping locally and sharing their experience. To enter, shoppers must submit a photo taken at a local retailer between November 22 and December 8 on MakeMacombYourHome.com and post it on social media using the hashtag #ShopLocalMacomb.
The campaign not only rewards shoppers but also offers a unique opportunity for local businesses. Retailers featured in consumer-submitted photos are entered into a raffle for a $1,000 grant, with winners selected on December 9.
