A two-year-old boy named Angelo Berry from Milwaukee was hit by a vehicle after wandering into the street. The child had climbed out of an open apartment window and was unsupervised when the incident occurred near 60th and Hustis on Wednesday, as reported byCBS58.

The driver of the truck, 41-year-old Laron Lawrence, has been charged with knowingly operating a motor vehicle without a license causing death. Witnesses reported that Lawrence was driving down 60th Street when a child appeared in the roadway. Despite efforts to brake and swerve, Lawrence struck the boy. Additionally, a 25-year-old man faces charges of child neglect after an unsupervised toddler was found outside an apartment window. Lawrence is now charged with operating a vehicle without a valid license, a Class H felony that could result in up to six years in prison and a $10,000 fine, as mentioned byWISN.
