One person was injured when a confrontation between a vehicle and the Littleton Police Department turned violent early on Tuesday morning. The incident happened in Englewood, close to the intersection of West Belleview Avenue and Keenland Court, at approximately three in the morning, according to 9News. The site is located at the intersection of South Federal Boulevard and West Belleview Avenue, slightly west of another significant crossing.

After being stopped during a traffic stop, the suspect got out of the car and brandished a weapon at the officers, according to CBS News Colorado. He was taken to the hospital with injuries after being shot by the officers. There were no police hurt in the altercation.

The motorist was apparently carrying an unidentified weapon, according to The Denver Post. The suspect was aiming this weapon at cops, which led to several Littleton officers shooting the guy.
