Two stolen cars were involved in a pursuit that ended in a head-on collision in Concord. According to the Concord Police Department’s social media post, the incident started when authorities tried to pull over a car that had been reported stolen from Alameda County. This sparked a chase into a residential neighborhood.

The suspects were observed escaping in a second car that was later found to be stolen after leaving the first stolen car. As it attempted to merge onto Highway 4, the car struck an approaching vehicle head-on on Willow Pass Road close to the Kinney Bridge. There were just minor injuries reported.

Concord Police were not pursuing the second car at the time of the crash, according to authorities. The suspects in the crash and the stolen cars have been taken into custody and are facing several charges. It has not been revealed who they are.

According to the Concord Police Department’s Facebook post, Willow Pass Road was closed for approximately an hour following the pursuit while the investigation was conducted.
