$5,000 Reward Offered for Information on “Camo Jacket Crooks” Suspected in East Harris County ATM Robbery

Local law enforcement and the FBI’s Violent Crime Task Force are searching east Harris County for a group of ATM robbers dubbed as the “Camo Jacket Crooks.” Three of the suspects are suspected of stealing a bag of cash from an ATM courier on October 7, just before 1 p.m., and the moniker comes from the camouflage-patterned coats they wore during the theft at a CVS shop. According to a report by Click2Houston, their crime at 15411 Wallisville Road was a daring daylight operation, and their fourth accomplice was wearing a distinctive black and yellow Iowa Hawkeyes jacket rather than camouflage.

The fact that the robbers waited for the courier to approach the ATM before carrying out their plan suggests that they had premeditated their move. They swiftly escaped to a getaway car parked close by after stealing the money. The vehicle’s specifications and the precise sum of money taken have not been made public. The FBI Houston posted a description of the four suspects on its social media accounts, describing them as Black males between the ages of 17 and 20 with slim to medium builds. The faces of the suspects have also been shared on the CW39 website.

Crime Stoppers of Houston is launching an effort to apprehend these criminals by providing a reward of up to $5,000 for information that results in the apprehension and conviction of those responsible for this event. Anyone with relevant information can contact the FBI Houston Field Office at (713) 693-5000 or the Crime Stoppers tip line at 713-222-TIPS (8477). Additionally, anonymous tips can be filed via the Houston Crime Stoppers mobile app, which is available for iPhone and Android smartphones, or the Crime Stoppers website.
