Cheesy Delights Abound at 7th Annual Austin Mac & Grilled Cheese Festival at Star Hill Ranch

The 7th Annual Austin Mac & Grilled Cheese Festival, which was held at the Star Hill Ranch this past weekend, fulfilled the cheese desires of Austinites. More than 20 local chefs, food trucks, and restaurants gathered on November 17 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm to provide their own takes on two popular comfort foods: mac-n-cheese and grilled cheese sandwiches, along with a variety of sweet desserts.

Two dozen Central Texas establishments showcased their culinary prowess, as customers sampled a wide range of foods. Among the participants were Moonshine Grill, Original Black’s Barbecue, The Vegan Nom, and MACS Mac & Cheese Shop from Kalahari Resort. Additionally, the event included exclusive offers in a VIP Lounge supported by Austin International Airport, according to CBS Austin.

Every kind of festival-goer, whether they were there for a quick snack or the full VIP experience, had options with tickets ranging from $25 to $100. The Tribeza event listing invited the community to mark their calendars well in advance, emphasizing that the occasion was going to be a day of complete indulgence.

The festival also included complimentary drinks, such as Tito’s Handmade Vodka, STILL Austin Whiskey, and Dulce Vida Tequila, in keeping with the corny theme. According to a treat made by Kurty’s Cookies, the festival made sure there was something for every taste, and those seeking a non-alcoholic fix satisfied their thirst with Topo Chico, a carbonated mineral water.

The event, which took place at the Star Hill Ranch, 15000 Hamilton Pool Road, Bee Cave, Texas, was another example of Austin’s thriving and dynamic culinary culture. Thousands of people were engrossed in Austin’s rich history of celebrating delicious food and community, from families having a fun-filled day out to foodies sampling the newest inventive creations. The festival concluded another spectacular year with a golden color created by the setting sun, leaving attendees eagerly anticipating the next one.
