In relation to a homicide that took place on Monday night, the Columbus Police Department is currently looking for a suspect. According to a news release from the Columbus Division of Police, the victim, named as Ms. Taarah Griffin-Carmichael, was taken to the Children’s Hospital by colleagues following the event and died from gunshot wounds.
Patrol officers were sent to the hospital after hearing reports of the gunshot at around 8:50 p.m. on Monday. Despite the efforts of medical professionals to save Griffin-Carmichael’s life, he was declared dead at 9:18 PM. The 200 Block of Highview Landing is where the shooting occurred, according to investigators. Since then, Dionte M. Carey has been the subject of a murder warrant and is still at large.
