A 34-year-old guy from Wadley, Georgia named Verdree Cunningham III has been arrested by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) on several drug-related crimes. According to a GBIpress statement, the accusations include three counts of cocaine distribution, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and trafficking cocaine. The other count is the use of a communication device to commit a felony.
The arrest was made last Friday by GBI officers and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, capping a ten-month investigation. Additionally, they swiftly carried out a search warrant at Cunningham’s home. Guns, suspected drugs, including 84 grams of what looked to be crack cocaine, over 1.8 kilograms of suspected powder cocaine, and roughly 25 pounds of suspected marijuana hidden in a forested area nearby to the property were all found during the thorough search.
The Georgia State Patrol (GSP), the Georgia Department of Community Supervision (DCS), the GBIMiddle Georgia Gang Task Force (MGGTF), and other organizations worked together to execute this concerted attempt to apprehend Cunningham. The operation’s goal was to remove gang activity that was endangering Central Georgia in addition to reducing narcotics distribution. According to the officials, the main objective is to create a safer atmosphere where people in the neighborhood can prosper.
