Two Howe, Oklahoma, residents have entered guilty pleas in relation to a minor’s sexual abuse. 22-year-old Armondo Joseph Palma entered a guilty plea to the charge of transferring a juvenile for illegal purposes. Three counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a juvenile and one count of possessing material linked to the sexual exploitation of a minor were confessed by Brooklyn Elaine Wilson, 27. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced these pleas.
The Choctaw Nation Reservation was the site of the case. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the indictment stated that Palma had knowingly transported a minor from Oklahoma to Missouri in December 2023 with the intent to perform a sexual act; Wilson had engaged in multiple sexual acts with a child under the age of 12 with varying intents; and, on another occasion, she had a visual representation of a minor performing sexually explicit acts that lasted from approximately August 2023 to approximately April 2024.
Palma and Wilson entered guilty pleas, which were overseen by U.S. Magistrate Judge D. Edward Snow of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. Until their sentencing, which will come after a presentence investigation, both will be held in federal detention. Homeland Security Investigations, the Rogers County Sheriff’s Office, and the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office were among the several organizations that participated in the investigation. The government was represented by Caila M. Cleary, an assistant U.S. attorney. Although a sentencing date has not yet been set, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said that the guilty pleas guarantee that both parties will be held accountable for their acts.
