A teenager and an elderly man were hospitalized after gunfire broke out on Dr. Martin Luther King Drive. According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the incident occurred in the 3000 block of the street on Friday of last week at approximately 3:00 p.m.

When cops from the Fourth District arrived, they discovered a male 17-year-old who had been shot and was being transported to the hospital in stable condition. Additionally, a 70-year-old man who had been wounded in the leg while seated in his car sought medical attention. When a stray bullet hit him through his car door, he informed police he heard gunfire and observed dark-clad individuals shooting at someone.

Two suspects who have been described as violent and armed are being sought by authorities. The first is a black man with a low afro, dressed in black jeans, black and red shoes, and a black hoodie with inscriptions. The second is a black man with long dreadlocks, dressed in black shoes, black and white pants, a black sweatshirt, and a black purse.

To find and identify the suspects, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance. Anyone with information can request a District 4 detective by calling the Central Patrol Division at 314-444-2500.
