Broward County Offers Tax Express Drop-off Service for Year-End Property Tax Payments

On December 2, Broward County taxpayers can take advantage of a convenient outside Tax Express drop-off service if they want to pay their property taxes before the year-end deadline. According to a recent release, citizens will have the chance to hand-deliver payment checks at the Main Governmental Center Annex Building in Broward County from 10 AM to 4 PM, guaranteeing that their financial commitments are fulfilled on time.

The tool, which is marketed as an easy way to deal with the 2024 tax obligations, includes detailed instructions for users. Payments must be made using certified or personal checks drawn on US bank accounts. The entire sum due in March must be paid in full; neither cash nor credit card payments will be accepted on-site.

Official information states that County employees will be available at the government building’s west door, which is reachable from the parking lot on Brickell Avenue. In addition to understanding that only complete payments for 2024 taxes will be handled, taxpayers are required to provide their current tax bill. This drop-off option will not be used for past-due tax payments.

Look elsewhere if you are not ready to pay by check, have past-due taxes, or want to make partial payments. With a tax bill in hand, Broward County has not left its residents without options, directing them to any Wells Fargo Bank in the county or to the website for online payments, which offers eCheck, credit, and debit card options (the latter two incur an online convenience fee).

Residents will be directed to the drop-off location by signage at the west door of the Main Governmental Center Annex Building, where checks will be picked up by County employees who may be identified by their official shirts and badges. In addition to accruing interest and penalties, taxpayers who do not pay their property taxes by March 31, 2025, will be placed in delinquent. The County’s Records, Taxes, and Treasury website has more information, and people can contact them by phone at 954-357-4829 or by email at [email protected].
