On November 18, a U.S. Border Patrol agent located 72-year-old Deborah Dexter of Lake Havasu City, who had been missing since November 15. She lived close to Desert Center, California. According to Lake Havasu City, Dexter, who is known to have memory problems connected to dementia, was reported missing when she did not return after a visit to her neighborhood grocery shop.
At around 5:28 p.m. on November 17, the Lake Havasu City Police responded to the report in the 400 block of Rolling Hills Drive. According to the police statement, Dexter’s car, a gray 2006 Ford F-150 with the Arizona license plate AJA4330, was last seen in Quartzsite on November 15 at 2:30 p.m. The police department noted that the community’s assistance in spreading the information on social media and the tips they got helped to resolve this case.
Dexter was discovered in fine health, but she was taken to Palo Verde Hospital in Blythe, California, as a precaution. According to Lake Havasu City, Sergeant Kyle Ridgway said, “The Lake Havasu City Police Department extends its gratitude to the community for sharing this information on social media and the numerous tips received, which contributed to a positive outcome.”
