New Troopers Join Arizona Highways: AZDPS Celebrates Graduation and Deployment Across Mesa, Phoenix, and Beyond

Following their graduation from the State Trooper Academy, the Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) recently celebrated the hiring of 27 new troopers. Class 36, which consists of 18 cadets and nine lateral officers from other law enforcement agencies, completed extensive training before the ceremony on Thursday, November 21.

Colonel Jeffrey Glover, the Director of the AZDPS, gave the new graduates the oath of office and shared his wisdom during the event in Mesa, according to an announcement made by the AZDPS. Senior troopers will oversee a 12-week field training program for each of these new troopers, who are now moving from theoretical to actual highway patrol responsibilities.

The organization has given the new troopers specific missions, broadcasting their dispersion around Arizona’s vast landscape, which these new law enforcement officers will soon be able to follow. According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the graduates will be stationed across the state of Arizona, including in Benson, Bullhead City, Casa Grande, Flagstaff, and several other localities. They will also be deployed across multiple areas of Phoenix.

“Congratulations to Class 36!” AZDPS said.
