Police in Rock Hill are looking into a robbery that occurred yesterday afternoon at an ATM. WBTV reported that just before stealing cash boxes and fleeing in a black vehicle, three males asked an ATM maintenance technician to leave his job at the PNC Bank on the intersection of India Hook Road and Herlong Avenue.
According to WCCB Charlotte, the suspects in the robbery, which took place at approximately 2:40 p.m., were all black and had bandanas covering their faces. The fact that no firearms were used during the incident is noteworthy in accounts, indicating that the worker’s obedience was obtained only by the threat of force.
Even though the incident happened in broad daylight, local police have not yet made any arrests in relation to the theft or issued any pictures of the suspected thieves or their car as of this morning. The tale is straightforward: three men, a black car, and a stack of cash that could not be located disappeared.
The Rock Hill Police Department is eager to fill the hole left by the lack of instant leads or pictures and encourages anyone with knowledge to come forward. According to WCNC, they hope that the public will provide such information to help in their investigations.
