Phoenix Man’s Body Identified in Glendale as Police Treat Death as Homicide and Seek Public’s Help

The body of a man discovered on Veterans Day has been confirmed by Glendale Police as that of Grant Siefert, 30, who was reported missing from Phoenix the day before his body was found. Police were notified by two different reports that Siefert’s shirtless corpse was found face down in a water retention area close to 55th Avenue and Peoria, according to a report from FOX 10 Phoenix. At the moment, it is being handled as a homicide case.

A statement from Siefert’s aunt, who recalled his personality and how he always kept in close contact with family, concluding calls with “Call me, text me, love you, bye!” is included in the additional information provided by Arizona’s Family. She also expressed her determination to attend every court hearing in order to seek justice for her nephew’s untimely death, observing how the incident has left the family feeling incredibly empty. According to retired FBI agent Lance Leising, the incident seemed impromptu and most likely happened suddenly, suggesting that it was either a bungled robbery or a crime of passion.

An essential piece of evidence for the inquiry is Siefert’s missing car, a black 2011 Ford Escape with the temporary Arizona license plate “392635U.” Authorities suspect Siefert arrived at the scene of his murder early on November 11. Glendale Police Officer Moroni Mendez told Arizona’s Family that “any information, whether it be huge, small, of any size, or of any importance, please share it,” underscoring the value of public cooperation in the investigation.

According to Leising’s investigation, the car is most likely located a few kilometers from Siefert’s last known location or the location of his remains. He thinks that because the crime was public, witnesses or evidence will quickly surface to aid in the case’s resolution. The fact that the crime was not well-planned suggests that the suspect or suspects may not have had the intention of evading capture. Anyone with information regarding the car or Siefert’s passing is urged to call the Glendale Police Department at 623-930-3000.
