A suspect tried to escape earlier today, sparking a dramatic pursuit between two Houston police officers that ended with one officer being dragged and a patrol car colliding with a tree. The pursuit started on Richmond Avenue just before midnight when authorities stopped a driver who had run a red light and requested him to get out of the car after smelling marijuana.
