A suspect tried to escape earlier today, sparking a dramatic pursuit between two Houston police officers that ended with one officer being dragged and a patrol car colliding with a tree. The pursuit started on Richmond Avenue just before midnight when authorities stopped a driver who had run a red light and requested him to get out of the car after smelling marijuana.
One cop was grabbed in the door and dragged before collapsing as the driver refused to obey and tried to escape.
