Man Charged with Murder, Sought by Houston Police for Fatal Assault on Hirsch Road

In relation to a deadly assault that occurred earlier this week on the 6900 block of Hirsch Road, authorities have officially accused a man. The City of Houston reports that 52-year-old Alvaro Lovos, the suspect, is now charged with murder. Police are presently looking for Lovos, who is not yet in jail.

A 67-year-old man died in the event just before midnight on Tuesday; his name has not yet been made public until his family has been notified. Officers from the Houston Police Department arrived at approximately 11:15 p.m. to make a hasty search for Lovos. They found the victim with head and body trauma laying on the sidewalk when they arrived at the site. The person was declared dead by the Houston Fire Department’s attending paramedics.

Detectives C. Flora, G. Zavala, and M. Castillo, along with HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Brooks, determined that Lovos was the main suspect in the ensuing investigation. On Wednesday, charges were finally brought against him.
