San Francisco Man Charged with Burglary and Grand Theft Involving Stolen Vehicle

Lucas Molina-Hernandez, 30, has been taken into custody by San Francisco Police in relation to a break-in that occurred in the Southern District of the city early last week. Officers were called to a burglary in the 300 block of 12th Street on Monday at approximately 4:19 a.m., according to the San Francisco Police Department. Allegedly, suspects stole a safe full of cash and the merchandise of a firm.

A stolen car was found to have been utilized in the break-in, and the investigation that followed suggested that Molina-Hernandez was involved. According to the SFPD announcement, the car was parked at the intersection of 3rd and Quesada Ave when Bayview Station officers saw it on Monday night. The cops devised a plan and conducted a felony stop in collaboration with the Crime Gun Investigation Center, which resulted in the arrest of Molina-Hernandez and three other individuals.

Molina-Hernandez is facing a number of accusations after being booked into the San Francisco County Jail. These include burglary, grand theft, receiving stolen items, and owning a stolen vehicle.

The SFPD is continuing its investigation while Molina-Hernandez is being held, and the public is reminded to provide any pertinent information. It is recommended by the SFPD that tips be sent to 1-415-575-4444 or via text message to TIP411, starting with “SFPD.”
