San Mateo County Sheriff’s officers arrested two suspects for breaking into Hatch Elementary School in Half Moon Bay early yesterday morning. An official report states that the event happened at approximately 3:30 a.m. when deputies arrived at the school located at 490 Miramontes Ave. after an alarm was triggered.
Two suspects, Jessica N. Miller Morales, 32, and Jose A. Reyes Neri, 42, were discovered by the deputies at the scene. According to the Sheriff’s Office, both are Half Moon Bay residents who were taken into custody without any problems. Deputies, who were dispatched in response to a security alarm, reported seeing the suspects loitering in a restricted area of the school.
According to the inquiry, Neri entered the school with a knife in hand and was in possession of a restricted substance and drug paraphernalia. A loaded pellet gun was discovered in Miller Morales’ possession. Both suspects are presently on probation and have past records.
The two are accused of conspiracy to commit a crime and burglary. Neri is also charged with drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. Morales is under further investigation for her burglary and conspiracy charges after it was discovered that she was in possession of a loaded pellet gun.
