A 15-year-old male was injured in a shooting incident on East Capitol Street, and Metropolitan Police are currently searching for suspects. Authorities are now asking the public for any information that could help them in their investigation into the Friday morning shooting.
Officers were called to the 1700 block of East Capitol Street at approximately 9:42 a.m., where they found the adolescent victim, according to a statement issued by the Metropolitan Police Department. He had been taken to a nearby hospital after being been shot. Fortunately, his wounds are not thought to be life-threatening at this time. According to investigators, the shooting occurred in an alley behind a Southeast apartment building, and the victim went to a local high school for assistance after being shot.
