Two minutes after Larkin’s goal, Raymond gave the Red Wings the lead by deflecting Edvinsson’s shot past Varlamov.

At 7:42 of the second period, Palmieri scored his team-high tenth goal of the season, giving the Islanders a 2-1 lead.
