(CBS DETROIT) Small business celebrated its 15th anniversary on Saturday. Metro Detroit shoppers made sure to express their support on Saturday.

The annual event, which takes place the day after Black Friday, honors small businesses.

In Berkley, at Catching Fireflies on 12 Mile Road, shoppers were out in force around Metro Detroit. The proprietor claims that maintaining her store requires a great deal of community support.

Danielle Delong, the proprietor of Catching Fireflies, stated, “The community and surrounding community have supported us for the longest time.” “Seeing so many people come out and express their support for us and desire for us to stay is incredible. And we adore it. We have a ton of loyal customers that have been coming here for years, as well as some new ones.”

On Small Business Saturday in 2023, consumers are expected to spend $17 billion at small companies.
