(CBS DETROIT) Shots were fired in Sterling Heights early Sunday during an apparent marijuana disagreement, leaving one person in arrest.

At approximately 12:15 a.m., police said they were called to the 4700 block of Runton Court in response to a complaint of gunfire.

Authorities said the dispute arose between roommates over the claim that one of them was stealing marijuana from the other.

According to investigators, one roommate once shot the other five times through a bedroom door.

No one was hurt, but eight people—including children—were at home when the gunfire occurred.

Charges against the shooter are still pending after they were transported to Macomb County Jail.
