Jamal Adams, a three-time pro bowl safety, was added to the team’s practice squad on Sunday.
The New York Jets selected Jamal Adams sixth overall in the 2017 draft. Before being moved to the Seattle Seahawks, where he played for four seasons, he spent his first three seasons in New York.
The veteran inked a contract with the Tennessee Titans this summer, but in October he requested his release.
Jamal Adams has accumulated 340 tackles, 36 passes defended, and four interceptions in his eight seasons.

Along with defensive lineman Jonah Williams and Myles Adams, as well as linebacker Kwon Alexander, the signing is the most recent in a series of roster changes. Myles Adams was cut from the Seahawks practice squad, Williams was cut from the Los Angeles Rams practice squad, and Alexander was cut from the Denver Broncos practice squad.
The team dismissed wide receiver Maurice Alexander and placed rookie defensive lineman Mekhi Wingo and linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez on injured reserve due to season-ending injuries.
