(CBS DETROIT)Okay, supporters of the Detroit Lions. It’s for you. Look-alike competitions are becoming more and more common across the nation. All MCDCs (Motor City Dan Campbells) are now invited to join in the fun in Metro Detroit.
While pretending to be Campbell, Justin Pollock, beverage director at HopCat, stated, “I have a clipboard for my talking points today and some juice for the interview.”
HopCat’s beverage director is Pollock.
Pollock adds all MCDCs are invited to compete, regardless of whether you’re channeling a podium Dan Campbell or a Starbucks Dan Campbell.
“Dude, we all adore this fucking team. Imitation is the best compliment, you know,” Pollock remarked.
The victor will receive a year’s worth of free french fries from the company. It takes heart, though, like any Lions victory.
“I believe that playing for the people you care about is the main goal. That’s that perseverance and grit. Pollock stated, “You have to know who you are playing for, because your dad likes free fries and your mom likes free fires.”
For it, Pollock has been preparing. “I’m currently getting pumped about it by watching Instagram footage. In search of some kneecaps, I went to the dog food store and discovered some bones,” he jokingly said.
He asserts that all imitation Dans remain a member of the same squad regardless of the outcome.
“We’re in rare air right now; let’s see what kind of fans have the biggest MCDC energy,” added Pollock.
The HopCat location in Detroit will host the Dan Campbell look-alike competition on Sunday, December 8 at 4 p.m.
