(CBS DETROIT)In June 2025, rapper Kendrick Lamar will visit Detroit’s Ford Field as part of his Grand National Tour.
On June 10, the 17-time Grammy winner will play at the Detroit Lions’ stadium. All of the tour’s performances will be opened by SZA.
The general public can buy tickets via Ticketmaster starting at 10 a.m. on Friday, with a presale starting on Wednesday. The cost of the tickets is still unknown.
Lamar’s Grand National Tour begins on April 19 at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis and ends on June 18 at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland. During the tour, Lamar will play 21 stadium gigs in total.
Since the release of his diss track “Not Like Us,” which peaked at number one on the Billboard charts and is nominated for five Grammys, in May, the Compton-born rapper has been embroiled in a highly publicized dispute with fellow rapper Drake.
Lamar’s sixth studio album, “GNX,” which pays homage to the 1987 Buick Grand National Experimental, was released on November 22. Since 2022, he has not released an album since “Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers.”
The fourth show on Ford Field’s 2025 music program is Kendrick Lamar’s performance in Detroit. Rapper Post Malone said in November that he would be visiting Ford Field on May 18 as part of his “Big Ass Stadium Tour.” Malone is joined by Jelly Roll, a country singer and fellow rapper.Additionally, Australian rock group AC/DC will play on April 30 and Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks will collaborate at Ford Field on March 29.
Lamar will be the star of New Orleans’ 2025 Super Bowl halftime performance.
