(CBS DETROIT)Terrion Arnold, a rookie cornerback for the Detroit Lions who is from Florida and is unfamiliar with Michigan’s frigid climate, did not hesitate to express his feelings about the snow on Wednesday night.

Snow squalls caused wind chills in the single digits in the Metro Detroit area.

The 21-year-old posted a TikTok video of his time spent outside at a gas station on Wednesday. “I can’t even get gas the pump froze,” the caption read, and the video featured the statement, “This cannot be real.”

Arnolds replied, “Take me back home,” in the video. “Detroit, I love ya’ll, I love playing for the Lions, but I need to go in the house.”

The caption on the video he shared said, “POV: you from Florida and it’s your first time seeing snow.”

Fans welcomed Arnold to Michigan and shared their love/hate relationship with the state’s weather in their comments on his photos. Some even offered advice on how to brave the cold.

In response, the Detroit Pistons said, “Michigan weather is different.”

After being chosen from Alabama in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft, Arnold instantly embraced Michigan. In 2022 and 2023, respectively, he joined fellow Alabama players Jameson Williams and Jahmyr Gibbs who were selected by the Lions.

Arnold told reporters, “Those are my brothers,” following the draft. “Detroit is experiencing something unique.

The Lions, who have an outstanding 11-1 record this season, are regarded as one of the NFL’s hottest teams and have a chance to secure their second straight postseason bid. They smashed records and won ten games in a row, including their first Thanksgiving victory since 2016.
