CBS Detroit’s Dearborn, Michigan locationOn Thursday, more than 5,000 people came to Greenfield Village to celebrate the holiday spirit despite the frigid weather.
According to Ginger Dean, a worker at Greenfield Village, “it is like walking into a Christmas card; this has all the sweet things of the holidays.”
As it has been since its debut in 2004, Holiday Nights was once again one of the most popular events in town throughout the holiday season.
“Seeing people out and about makes me very happy, especially during the chilly months. “It’s simply fantastic,” Ryan Mondalek remarked.
Greenfield Village’s more than 80 acres are home to this attraction. It’s packed with Christmas treats and entertaining events, such as learning how chocolate was created 250 years ago or taking a ride in a real old Model T.
“You feel like you step back in time, it’s magical,” Chris, who visits the village annually with family, said.
People and families alike told CBS Detroit that they would suggest the experience to others since it’s a joyful and exciting time.
For the parents who brought their children on Thursday night, getting into the holiday mood is about more than simply the experience.
“For me, Christmas is about spending time with family and enjoying the occasion. Victoria Wilson, a singer with the Milford Presbyterian Church, stated, “It’s just amazing to see little children like my little 7-year-old floating around here somewhere, just seeing her face beam with Christmas.”
Holiday Nights will be open Friday through Sunday from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., and then again on December 11β15, 18β23, and 26β28.
