(CBS DETROIT) On Sunday, downtown Detroit was crowded with people that looked like Dan Campbell.
To determine who could best represent the Detroit Lionshead coach, HopCat in Detroit held a tournament. Twenty-two contestants fought for the top slot, and the winner would get free fries for a year. Every competitor was evaluated based on their likeness, sense of style, vigor, and inventiveness.
Alyssa Mazur, a contender, declared, “I am just ready to go up and bite everyone else’s kneecaps off,”
Many participants reported that people frequently comment on how much they resemble Campbell.
“I was at a Philadelphia Eagles game in Detroit, and I had so many people come up and take pictures of me,” Derrick Engels said.
“My 15-year-old daughter says, ‘Dad, you’re not Dan Campbell; stop,'” said the competition winner Jeff Randall.
The candidates stated that they hope their tributes respect Campbell, who means a great deal to them and many Michiganders.
