(CBS DETROIT) On Monday night, a rollover collision in Macomb Township claimed the life of a lady and injured a teenager.
The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office reports that the driver of a white Ram pickup truck traveling south on Hayes Road reportedly veered left and crossed the center turn lane into northbound traffic, striking a white Mazda head-on. The collision occurred at approximately 7:27 p.m. in the vicinity of Hayes Road and Snowbird Drive. Along northbound Hayes, the Mazda rolled multiple times before landing on its roof on the grass.
The 45-year-old Shelby Township lady who was driving the Mazda was declared deceased at the scene. She was the only person in the car.
The 17-year-old lad who was driving the Ram was sent to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is currently in stable condition.
Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, according to deputies.
There is still an investigation going on.
