For Catholic school students in the Archdiocese of New York, the last day of school before winter break is also Friday, December 20. They will start their holiday vacation early, just like public school students.
After winter break, public school students will return to class on Thursday, January 2. That gives them almost two full weeks of rest and fun before heading back to school.
For Catholic school students, their break is even longer, as they won’t return until Monday, January 6. That means they will have 16 days off in total, including weekends.
