Detroit Police Investigate Homicide After Fatal Stabbing on Mack Avenue

DETROIT – Police in Detroit are asking for the public’s help in solving a homicide case after a fatal stabbing occurred on the city’s east side.

The incident happened on April 3, 2024, in the 15200 block of Mack Avenue. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered the victim, who had died from multiple stab wounds.

Police also noted that the victim’s car was missing from the scene. Investigators later uncovered that on April 2, 2024, the victim had gone to work for a meeting around 4 p.m. The meeting was reportedly with a young Black man whose identity remains unknown.

Authorities have described the man as having starter locs and wearing a dark puffer jacket, a dark graphic tee-shirt, tan pants, and dark shoes.

Surveillance footage showed the victim and this individual leaving the workplace in a black and green Mini Cooper.
