A multi-car collision that occurred outside of an elementary school in Texas resulted in the death of a preschool teacher and the injury of many other individuals.
The collision took place on December 19 in San Antonio, Texas, during the process of student pickup after a holiday performance for children that took place close to a school.
It has been reported by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office that a mother is suspected of accelerating into another vehicle in the parking lot, causing both automobiles to crash into a play area.
“She, in turn, pushed that other car, and then both cars ended up hitting a fence where various children were playing on the other side of that fence,” said Sheriff Javier Salazar. “The fence was located on the opposite side of the fence.”
In the aftermath of the collision, Alexia Rosales, who was 22 years old at the time, became trapped beneath one of the vehicles.
Her death was confirmed at the scene of the incident.
In addition, five youngsters were injured in the collision and were taken to hospitals in a variety of circumstances after being rushed there.
A GoFundMe website states that friends and family members testified that Rosale’s smile brightened the atmosphere of every room and that her laughing gave a great deal of happiness.
“We are utterly devastated. The loss of Alexia is comparable to the loss of a component of ourselves. The page stated that “her warmth, kindness, and energy will always remain with us, but the void that she leaves behind is enormous.”
According to Salazar, it seemed as though the collision was nothing more than a tragic accident, and the mother might have been dealing with a medical issue.
To this point, the mother has not been charged with any crime.
