Hit-and-run in Columbus' Hilltop Neighborhood Sends Pedestrian to Hospital With Severe Injuries

According to the Columbus Division of Police, a person was sent to the hospital with significant injuries after being struck by a vehicle in the Hilltop neighborhood on Tuesday evening.

Sullivant Avenue, just east of the intersection with South Sylvan Avenue, was the location where the adult was strolling about 10:30 p.m., according to the police.

A pedestrian was struck by an unidentified car that was traveling east on Sullivant Avenue. The adult had just begun crossing the street until the collision occurred. The automobile continued on its way in an easterly direction after leaving the scene of the accident.

According to the police, the adult was transported to Grant Medical Center who was suffering from severe injuries.

Even though additional information was not accessible, the detectives had a strong suspicion that the automobile in question was maroon in color.
