A Haltom City woman is speaking out for the first time about the terrifying ordeal she endured on Christmas Eve, when she was allegedly kidnapped at gunpoint, robbed, and left bound to a tree. The victim, who asked to remain unidentified, recounts the chilling events that began in the early hours of December 24th.
Around 4:30 a.m., the woman was leaving her apartment near 5000 Denton Highway when a man, his face covered, approached her. He pointed a gun at her and demanded her belongings. Fearing for her life, she handed over her bag and phone. But the nightmare escalated when the suspect forced her into the backseat of her car.
The kidnapper then drove her to a nearby bank, where he ordered her to withdraw money under duress, continuing to threaten her throughout the ordeal. The victim’s boyfriend expressed relief that she made it out alive, saying, “We’re just trying to take the best of it. Right now, I’m just glad that she’s back.”
After the terrifying ordeal, the man reportedly stole her car and left her tied to a tree.
