Pinecrest Neighborhood Plagued by Serial Thieves, Residents Demand Answers from City Council

Daily Detroit News (Pinecrest, FL) – Locals in one Pinecrest hamlet have reached their breaking point as a result of the persistent home invasions that have been occurring there.

The thieves are traveling to their victims’ residences in luxurious automobiles. There was a time when thieves arrived in a Mercedes-Benz.

The video shows that the burglar made an attempt to steal a G-Wagen that was parked on the premises of the business.

This occurrence is the eleventh one that the Alger family has experienced. Alger is responsible for the fact that his home has become a technological fortress.

It was not until the year 2022 that he first brought up the matter with the local 10 News media outlet.

Even if his alarms, lasers, and motion cameras are all working properly, the burglars continue to try to break into his home. His neighbors are now experiencing the consequences of that. A regrettable reality is that this is not always the case.

According to Alger, “That is all they want to do is get what they want to get.” The goal is to retrieve anything that was left in a vehicle.

According to Andrew Castellano, a resident of the neighborhood, crooks came into his home at roughly the same time as Alger, and they arrived in a Maserati. Castellano shared this information with the authorities.

While his mother was driving her G-Wagen, someone sneaked up on it and began firing at it. In order to pay his wife and their young child a visit, he had brought them inside.

“They stole her purse,” Castellano described the incident. “What measures are being taken by the City Council, and what is the status of the police department?” If I were at home at 3:45 on a Thursday, the situation would play out a little bit differently.

In addition, he stated, “They started incorporating license plate readers and other similar devices.” However, each and every time they receive a license plate, it is almost always one that has been stolen.

It has been reported that all of this is a component of a broader criminal organization that is concentrating its efforts on homes located in the areas of Pinecrest, Coral Gables, and South Miami among other places.

A number of residents have expressed their intention to inquire about the matter with their elected representatives.
