Oshkosh Police Say They Stopped Human Trafficking at a Nearby Hotel and Arrested a Man

OSHKOSH – (DDN) The Oshkosh Police Department said that on Friday, authorities at a nearby hotel ceased the practice of swapping in different individuals.

“During which she lived in fear of the suspect,” according to a news release, the police in Texas detained a 32-year-old male who they believe was forcing a woman to perform actions against her will for a period of several months.

The individual was taken into custody after it was observed that he was leaving the hotel room of a woman who had been discovered by an Oshkosh police investigator to be involved in the trafficking of individuals previously.

Immediately after the male left his room, the woman was greeted by a person who was dressed in uniform at the hotel.

The individual first fought the police’s attempts to detain him, according to the police. The individual is said to have a lengthy record of engaging in criminal conduct.

The police stated that the individual was in possession of “a substantial quantity” of illegal substances as well as a gun that had been stolen. During the investigation of the hotel room, they discovered an additional firearm as well as additional drugs.

Prior to arriving in Oshkosh, the guy and lady reportedly traveled through a number of states, according to the police.

They claim that the man has connections to the states of Texas and Colorado, but that he does not currently have any connections to the states of Wisconsin or Oshkosh.
