Daily Detroit News – A Houston pimp who skipped bail during a trial 20 months ago got 75 years in prison for selling people even though he wasn’t there. He is now back in jail.
Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg, who was in charge at the time, said that Thaddeus Allen, 36, was wanted for arrest in April 2023 because he did not show up for his hearing.
Allen is back in jail after going to a Houston hospital on New Year’s Eve under a fake name. Investigators said Allen was in very bad shape after taking too much PCP and methamphetamine.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Violent Criminal Apprehension Team got a tip on Allen on Sunday, but they didn’t find him until Monday.

Andy Kahan of Houston Crime Stoppers told the station, “That was his nickname, but it wasn’t very appropriate because he liked to get lost at night.” “This guy was really bad.” I mean, Thaddeus Allen is the perfect example of someone who trafficked people, forced women to work as prostitutes, or turned girls into smugglers.
Allen’s hearing started on April 10 and lasted for a week. He was in court for the first five days. But when court started for the sixth day, he didn’t show up to hear the last points in his case.
Even though they weren’t in the courthouse, the jury thought about Allen’s long history of arrests and found him guilty of selling people. Allen was also facing charges of aggravated support of prostitution involving a number of women, in addition to the trafficking of people.
The jury gave Allen a sentence of 75 years in jail, which he will have to serve half of before he can get parole.

The DA’s office said Allen was a “habitual felon” who had been convicted of several felonies, such as burglary and fleeing police.
Allen was freed from jail after making $200,000 bail when he was charged with human trafficking and other crimes.
“He had been in and out of jail.” He said, “You know, this just isn’t looking too good for me,” and then he left. “I’m leaving,” Kahan told. “Crime Stoppers, we offer a $15,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest of this person. I’m checking to see if one of our tips was what got him caught.” Today is a good day because we finally caught him again.
Kahan also said that Allen was caught by the sheriff’s office and was still being held at the hospital. Detectives told the station that Allen would go straight to jail after he got out of jail.
