Tanker Truck Fire Shuts Down I-75 in Both Directions, Reopens Hours Later in Henry County

HENRY COUNTY, Ga. (DDN) – According to the authorities, traffic on Interstate 75 in Henry County has started to flow again after a fire that occurred on a tanker truck on Wednesday night.

In the beginning, both the northbound and southbound lanes of Bethlehem Road (mile marker 214) were shut down because of the incident, as stated by the Georgia Department of Public Safety.

On the other hand, traffic started flowing more slowly once more at a little after 11 p.m.

In a post on Facebook, the Henry County Police Department informed motorists that the tractor-trailer fire was out, and they also mentioned that flames were present beneath the Bethlehem Bridge.

A tractor-trailer is currently on fire on Interstate 75 South at Mile Marker 214. Directly beneath the Bethlehem Bridge is where the flames are located.

At the moment, both the north and south lanes of Mile Marker 212 are closed.
