GUSTINE, Calif. (DDN) – Two large trucks were involved in a collision on Thursday morning in Stanislaus County, west of Gustine, according to the logs kept by the California Highway Patrol.
The California Highway Patrol was called to the area of northbound Interstate 5 at the onramp for Sullivan Road at approximately 4:48 in the morning.
One of the automobiles was stopped on the right shoulder, according to the California Highway Patrol, and the driver, who was 41 years old, was sleeping in the sleeper berth.
Another motorist allowed his vehicle to enter the shoulder, which resulted in a collision with the first large rig, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Neither of the drivers sustained serious injuries, according to the CHP.
