DDN – According to officials, a pedestrian was hit and killed on Farview Avenue in Paramus on Wednesday evening.
At around 6:50 p.m., officers responded to “a serious motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian” in the vicinity of 278 Farview Avenue, according to Paramus Police Chief Robert M. Guidetti.
Jeff Angermeyer of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office stated that the office was informed of “a fatal pedestrian crash” that occurred on Farview Avenue. The Bergen County Tragic Accident Task Force then arrived at the scene to help the Paramus police with the investigation.
He stated that Farview Avenue will be closed in both directions at Haase Avenue “for an extended period.” Guidetti recommends that drivers stay away from the area.
