Seven-vehicle Collision on Grand Parkway in North Houston Causes Road Closures and Traffic Delays (1)

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (DDN) – Authorities in Harris County are investigating a crash involving seven vehicles in north Houston, which has resulted in the closure of roads.

According to Constable Mark Herman, officials are currently at the location of a seven-vehicle accident that occurred on North Grand Parkway West and the North Freeway.

The westbound lanes of the Grand Parkway have been closed between Hardy Tollway and the North Freeway because of the incident.

According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, there was black ice on the road.

Gonzalez went on to say that EMS transported some individuals to hospitals in the area.

At 8:35 a.m., Sheriff Gonzalez tweeted an update stating that the westbound lanes of SH-99 are still closed.

As officials wait for TxDOT to remove the ice from the road, traffic is being redirected to I-45 northbound.

The status of the people who were involved is still not known.
