DODGE COUNTY, Wis. (DDN) – On January 26, 2025, a terrible accident occurred in Dodge County, Wisconsin, resulting in the death of one man and injuries to six other people, including children.
A pickup truck ran a stop sign and was struck by an SUV at the intersection of County Road A and County Road B in Beaver Dam, resulting in a collision.
A 2024 Ford F150 pickup truck was heading westbound when it failed to stop and crashed into a 2006 Cadillac Escalade, which was traveling northbound. This is according to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.
The collision caused both automobiles to wind up in a field located near the northeast corner of the crossroads.
A passenger in the pickup, a 30-year-old male from Tennessee, was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck, a 32-year-old man from Tennessee, was arrested for driving under the influence and suffered serious injuries. Later, he was taken to Aurora Summit Hospital by plane.
A 35-year-old male from Fox Lake was driving the Escalade, and a 38-year-old woman was a passenger. Both of them were airlifted to Marshfield Medical Center with critical injuries and were later moved to Aurora Summit Hospital.
Three children who were in the Escalade were brought to Marshfield Medical Center with minor injuries. One of them was later transferred to UW-Madison Hospital.
